What Our Customers Say
Types of Business Insurance in Oklahoma
Businesses come in all shapes, sizes, and types. And so does business insurance. Do you know what insurance options you need for your company? Check out a few of the policy types available in Oklahoma:
Commercial Property Insurance
Commercial property insurance insures your physical building as well as any of the ‘property’ owned. This includes physical items such as valuable paperwork, hardware, and equipment, but also more abstract assets, like lost income from damage or interruptions. Commercial property insurance is the first line of protection against losses due to fires, vandalism, theft, and more. Learn more about obtaining commercial property insurance here!
Commercial Auto Insurance
In Oklahoma, any businesses that use vehicles in their operations must have commercial auto insurance coverage. Commercial auto insurance coverage is similar to personal auto insurance but is assessed differently. Note that if you use your vehicle for business purposes, you may not be covered under your personal auto insurance for any accidents that occur while driving for your business. Commercial auto insurance usually includes optional coverage for employees driving personal vehicles for business use as well. Visit our Commercial Auto Insurance page to learn more!
Commercial Umbrella Insurance
You’ve got your business insurance so everything should be good now, right? Well, maybe not. Sometimes a business’s losses are more than the coverage of their commercial insurance policy. This can result in devastating consequences for a business, especially small businesses that can’t afford to fight large lawsuits or cover other unexpected expenses. Commercial umbrella insurance is a catch-all to protect you where your regular coverage might not be enough. Contact G&G Insurance today to see if your small business could benefit from commercial umbrella insurance.

What Business Insurance Do I Need in Oklahoma?
In Oklahoma, only one type of insurance is required for businesses. Any business with five or more employees (excepting contractors who are required with just one or more employees) must hold worker’s compensation insurance. Worker’s compensation must be paid by the employer, and no part is allowed to be covered by employees. Without worker’s compensation, your business may face state penalties and lose protections.
Any company-owned vehicles are required to have commercial auto insurance. The minimums are $25,000 for property damage liability per accident, $25, 000 bodily injury liability per person, and $50,000 bodily injury liability per accident. Oklahoma also requires uninsured motorist coverage in case of an accident that is caused by an uninsured or unidentified driver.
It’s also recommended that you purchase commercial auto insurance if employees are driving personal vehicles for business use, as personal auto insurance often does not cover business use of a personal vehicle.
How Much Does Business Insurance Cost in Oklahoma?
Unfortunately, because there’s no one-size-fits-all insurance policy for businesses in Oklahoma, there’s no straight answer to how much business insurance will cost you. Costs vary based on the size of your company, the location, the scale, the products and services offered, and more. If you’re running a mom-and-pop bakery with a handful of employees, you can expect your insurance rates to be vastly different from a 200-room hotel across the state with a lively restaurant and bar attached.
G&G Independent Insurance can help you discover rates that pertain to your particular business. With a vast network of companies to choose from, G&G will help you find affordable and quality coverage suited to your company’s needs
